Collaborative System
A system in which a collaborate robot operates the Balaman.
However, if you collaborative robot, you have the following limitations:
- Smaller payload with limited number of items that can be transported.
- A vision system would be required if the workpieces were varied.
- Complex positioning is difficult to automate.
- Undesirable production downtime in a continuous production line due to a robot breakdown.
Although full automation using robots might be ideal, human workers are still required for some processes.
These weakness and challenges can easily be overcome just by taking a different approach to the problem. We took the collaborative robot idea and applied it to the use of manipulators to develop a system that saves labor and improves working conditions.
